Blame it on the moon

Last night while most of you were counting sheep and dreaming of hunka hunks I was wishing the moon would set!  That silly full moon has kept me awake for two nights in a row.  The same thing happens every month.  The thought has crossed my mind that maybe I'm part werewolf or some type of canine.  Let's just hope I don't start chasing cars or biting the postman!
Instead of making these pin cushions while waiting to pass out I should have made a set of blackout curtains.  Oh well who needs sleep.  This little cushion was fun to make. The pattern and tutorial can be found here.  Only took about an hour to whip this baby together with small scraps pulled from the massive scraps that keep piling up.
  So....

The wheels started turning and I designed a similar cushion using a 60 degree ruler and (2) 2 x 18 pieces of scrap.  I took pictures along the way last night(wee hours of the morning) and whipped up a quicky picture tutorial this afternoon. Pardon the typo's I didn't feel like going back and fixing them after I had already saved the photos.

If you have any questions just let me know.

  4. They are very sweet. Like you, I don't like the full moon. It hangs in the sky opposite my bedroom window and keeps me awake and I find the silvery light quite eerie.

  5. Great pincushions! Thanks for the tutorial. Maybe you should hang one of your beautiful quilts in the window on full moon nights! Then you can dream of creating more beauties in your sleep. :)

  6. Those are pretty pincushions! Now don't go blaming the moon. I love the moon glow. Perhaps a face mask will help you doze off in the land of nod?
