I'm so jealous! I only have THREE! One for E2E (and I think I found the perfect design for it last night), one with lots of appliqué that needs custom quilting (I ALMOST feel ready to tackle that one!), and another one that could go either way. As far as quilting inspiration goes: Like you, I love Pinterest and I have a zillion boards. But I find I can get sucked into Pinterest and lose track of time, going in different directions and forgetting what I was looking for in the first place. I have a couple of really good reference books that I like instead, two by Angela Walters and one by someone else (I can check if you're interested) and I love that instead of being project-based books they are organized by the shapes we come across on a quilt top: Designs for squares, designs for circles, flying geese, triangle designs, border designs, etc. Some free motion, others for rulers, with Angela's stitch paths included. I have found that, when I stumped with what to put on a quilt, having those books right next to the long arm helps me find something that works well quickly so I can get right to quilting it. I love your idea of pumpkin faces, by the way, and I'm looking forward to seeing how you tackle this one!Rebecca Gracehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14801489818836195754noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7217778911642814493.post-37282756143223869512020-08-21T15:59:13.028-04:002020-08-21T15:59:13.028-04:00Beautiful quilt! Hmmm..I bet you could do a string of pumpkins and leaves in the outer black border. Oh I should have started with: This is a BEAUTIFUL and delightful quilt. I love it. Faces on the pumpkins - good idea. I think I would do a bit of ruler work on the white borders on either side of the green sawtooth border. Like diagonal lines. Yes, Pinterest. That's the best idea.
