A Quilt Top and Mystery Boxes

Hi Quilty Friends!  Today I'm going to say something I never thought I would say... I think I like the orange border on this quilt.  Yes, I said the words LIKE and ORANGE in the same sentence.  Who would have guessed those words would ever come out of my mouth?   It's making me feel a little odd.  Time to walk away and think about what just happened.

So, I decided to look for my box of decor fabrics because I need to recover the seat cushion of the old rocking chair on my front porch.  And then this happened.  What a mess!  I thought I could pull two boxes from the bottom of the cabinet without making a mess.  I was wrong.

The decor fabric is not hiding in box one...

...or in box two.  But what I did find in these boxes was exciting and not ORANGE.

But it'll have to wait until tomorrow.

Until next time...

I hope you find time to stitch up something sweet!

  1. That orange border is perfect! It's interesting how our fabric taste can change over the years. I never liked orange either and there are still shades I still don't like but some shades I actually do like now. It's scary to realize that! I love 2 color quilts but don't see an orange & white quilt in the future though. Happy stitching and happy cleaning up the stuff that fell!

  3. Orange looks great on this quilt. I agree, orange isn't a color I'm fond of...usually it's the one color I also say NO to. Sometimes being brave (or short of other colors) works out just fine.
