~ Spring Flowers ~

Spring is finally here and I'm loving every single minute of this glorious season.  The crisp cool mornings on the back porch with a cup of coffee....pure HEAVEN!  My flower gardens however are lacking the earlier bloomers and the ones I do have are taking their own sweet time.  A simple fix is to make my own little spring garden party indoors.  Some of you may recognize this block from my Back Porch Blooms free pattern.  It's basically the same flower head block with a extra little punch of color by adding the pink squares to the corner units.  You will find all the blog post and free patterns associated with the Back Porch Blooms Block by clicking here.

It started out as a simple plan to make some flower blocks.  Two hours later I finally found the perfect fabrics.  Or so I thought.  One more has been added to the mix below.

These blocks are so simple and quick.  I could make them all day.  It's a great way to use up some scraps also.  The project I have in mind is a small, and could be made in a day.  It's taking me a bit longer due to my new fur baby taking up so much of my time.  As soon as it's finished I'll share the FREE pattern with you.  I think your gonna love this one!

  1. Good Morning and Happy Sunday! Well, these blocks just scream Spring. We could use a bit of that around these parts as they are predicting 1-3 inches of snow. Seriously. Be done already. I think I'll keep the blinds closed and pretend they are wrong. With temperatures next week around 50, there will be no shoveling going on. ~smile~ Roseanne
