I've been a little quiet in the quilting world lately. Lots of stuff going on but nothing really that I can share until today. One of our grand daughters is staying in Podunk for a few days. She's taken quite an interest in Grandma's sewing room. She's still not ready for the sewing machine but has been helping me lay out blocks and layer the pieces right sides together before sewing. This was our first quilt block finish working together.
All work and no play isn't for my little princess. We take breaks often to do what all little princesses need to do...TWIRL and make bubbles!
However our little princess isn't afraid of a little hard work in the kitchen.
And sometimes a princess just needs a break being so girly. Time to learn all there is to know about canoeing and fishing.
Grandpa can teach her the ropes cause grandma doesn't like touching fish either.
We've had a wonderful week pampering our princess and making memories. She'll soon be going back home where she can ask mommy WHY 10,000 times a day. HAHA!

Yes--memories for her and for you--looks like it was really a fun time for everyone--love the tree block you made-now you need to make that into a pillow or wall hanging for her (and do you another one just like it)--
