What's In The Box ~ Part 6 ~ Cherry Tweet

Hello Quilty Friends!  Today's pull from the box is Cherry Tweet by Cori Blunt of Chitter Chatter Designs.  It's not a UFO project but a kit I made many years ago when I purchased the pattern.

Just how long have I had this pattern? A long time, I really don't know.  A search of my blog brought up nothing. By looking at the publishing date my best rough guess would be somewhere around 2010 to 2012.  The only thing I can remember is seeing it and ordering it immediately.

Some of the fabrics I choose for the kit no longer make me happy.  Take for instance the yellow.  It was supposed to be the color Butter.  It's too dark and I no longer want a butter background fabric.  It'll be replaced with white, of course.  You all know how much I love white as the background fabric for my quilts.  The blue and both greens will also be pulled out.

The next two photos are from Cori's website that no longer exists.  I wanted you to see a better picture of the quilt, it's gorgeous!

This will not be a quilt that can be made in a week or two.  The applique alone is a lot of work but there's also embroidery work.  Maybe next year I can put this one on the must make list.

  3. Gorgeous pattern. Lots of work but so beautiful! Just break it down into small sections and it will be done before you know it.
