Quilting Podunk Posy Quilt
While everyone else is putting the final touches on their holiday festivities I'm working on UFO's in my spare time away from Mamma. A big hug and a thank you to those that have contacted me in the last few days asking about Mamma. She's doing as well as can be expected given the situation. She'll have surgery this week to remove the tumor. Hopefully things will get back to normal soon.
Anyway.... back to the quilt. Most of the time when I quilt there's tons of ruler work. This time I'm trying to stay away from rulers because it takes a lot longer to finish a quilt. The only ruler work on the borders are the scallops above the Posy and Butterfly.
You can find the free tutorials for this quilt (Podunk Posy) in the tutorial tab at the top of this page. Later in the month, time permitting, I'll be adding tabs at the top of my blog for each free pattern offered on my blog. I hope the change will make it easier for everyone to find my free patterns.
Merry Christmas to you all and God Bless!

Sneak Peak
It's been 10 months since I last quilted on the frame. Just like riding a bike, except my hiney doesn't get sore! This is a small quilt about 48x48. Shouldn't take to long to finish.
Here's a couple more that were finished earlier in the week. Quick and easy quilting so they can be shipped to the grandkids. As soon as the bindings are finished I'll show the entire quilt.
Time for a cup of "Joe" and the peaceful sound of corn blowing in the breeze before I head back in the Studio. See you tomorrow for the last of my Throwback Thursday quilt series.

Bailey Home Quilter Followers
For those of my followers that own a BHQ I've some information requested from my last video. There was some question about the template I was using. This book is out of print and a little hard to find. Amazon has it new and used. Personally if I can find a book used I buy used. So here's some links to the book and template.
This link is for the book and CD. I'm not sure if the plastic template is part of the deal.
Just click here to go to the site.
Now for those of you wondering what in the world this is all about, this is the book I used to learn FM feathers on my domestic machine years ago. Handy book, great illustrations. The plastic template was great for learning to draw the perfect feather. I no longer use this template for feathers but I do use the edge for drawing the spines of a vine on my quilt borders.
And I also wanted to cover where I purchase my thread. I use mainly Invisafil 100 wt thread.
The best prices that I can find is at Soft Expressions. Anything 70 wt or higher gives me the best backtracking and doesn't overwhelm the quilt.
