Are you up for a little Romance?

So glad this one is finally finished!  I'm in love with it!  This quilt was supposed to be for the Iron Quilter Challenge at the Missouri Star Quilt Company but you know how it goes..LIFE.  So I missed the deadline and it became a UFO for a few months.   The little birdie design if from Ivory Spring Blog.  You can find it here.  I changed the feather part up a little bit but it's still her birdie.   I love Wendy's work, and she shares so much of her talents with tons of tutes.

  20. I too am sent from Ivory Spring's blog. I'm blown away!!! How do you do (the process) the quilting pattern that looks like a cross between swirls and Mctavishing located between the feathers and the quilted frame surrounding the medallion. If you could email me a schematic diagram of how that pattern was produced I would be most appreciative. My e-mail address is quilt@bell.net. Thanks so much.
    Sincerely

  21. I'm also here via Ivory Spring. WOW!!! I just finished my first FMQ quilt (nothing like this masterpiece, I'm afraid) and I'm in awe that anyone can do machine quilting that is so precise, so spectacular! Did you mark some of the larger motifs and section lines ahead of time, or are you one of those quilty goddesses who can just "eyeball" everything and have it come out perfect? Such a beautiful, inspiration quilt -- thank you for sharing!
