You never know what you will find when you start Googling. I can't remember the search criteria that brought up this sweet pillow made from 2 of my free tutorials. Luckily the maker of the pillow was easy to find. The link with the picture on Google took me to a quilting forum, TheQuiltingBoard.com. I've been a member of this board for years. But over the years with the expanding social media I have not been visiting the forum like I did in the past. Imagine my shock when I remembered my password to login! So I contacted the maker, MandyRose, asked for permission to use her photograph. Thank you Mandy for allowing me to inspire others with your creative work. Look closely, you'll see hand quilting mixed in with the machine quilting! And the lace added to the basket takes this one over the top! What a cute idea for a quick spring project. Wouldn't this be adorable on a porch swing?
Mandy's project inspired me to play around a little in EQ. Both of the layouts below would fit a 4-5 ft porch swing.
Now I need a porch swing!
You can find the tutorial for the Podunk Posy(tulip) here.
The Podunk Posy block was from my free quilt pattern Podunk Posies. All the links to the free quilt tutorials can be found here.
The Scrappy Spring Basket block made my Scrap Happy Basket quilt.
