Friday Finish ~ Charity Quilt #1

Hi Quilty Friends!  The first charity quilt is finished.  This quilt was made using partial layer cakes and a few cuts from my stash.  It's probably the quickest quilt I've ever made.  Literally a quilt in a day but I spread it out over 3 days.

Piecing the top took about an hour and a half.  Piecing the backing, about 30 minutes.  The franken-batting about 30 minutes.  The X quilting went really fast too, about an hour and half.

The machine applied binding was made using the scraps from the backing.

About another hour to cut and attach it to the quilt.

The quilt still needs to be washed but that can wait until I'm ready to deliver all of them to the homeless shelter.  Now it's time to pull fabric for the next one.  Below is the fabric I've set aside for making more.  There's a couple quilt panels and almost finished quilt tops hiding in here that would make for quick finishes as well.

Until next time...

I hope you find time to stitch up something sweet!
